Welcome to my brand spankin new blog! My name is Jenny (duh) and I am a wife, mother, and now a fulltime cosmetology student. This has been a bit of a culture shock, as for the past three years I have been a stay at home mother. I finally decided to go after my dreams and, with the support of my amazing husband and family, I finally started at Hollywood Beauty College in November of 2012. It was truly the first time I had ever really decided to invest in myself.
As to what this blog is about. I want this blog to either serve as a realistic example for people who are thinking of studying cosmetology (the business of beauty can have an ugly side lol) or as a "you're not alone" type of thing for those currently studying. I'll be letting you in on what procedures I'm learning, what experience I'm getting, my unique perspective on the two, and some humor thrown in. If at the end of the day I've made you laugh or made you feel more informed/supported then I've done my job. Also, as I am a brand new student, I would love to hear feedback from those further along in school or who have finished and are licensed. All are welcome. I plan on updating this blog daily, but please excuse me if I miss a day or two as I do have two little toddlers running around.
